It's with the greatest honour that we publish the news we received the high patronage of the European Parliament for Amarcort Film Festival 2015 edition.

Conference room: meeting with Jacopo Chessa, National Short Movie Center Director.
On Sunday, December 6th, at 3pm, at the Spazio Duomo, Amarcort will give all short movie makers, writers, productors, distributors, lovers the possibility to listen to Jacopo Chessa talking about short movies reality in Italy, comparing it with that in other countries.

On thursday, December 3rd, there will be a meeting with Sarah Bellinazzi, from Turin Creative Europe Desk, to explain all details on the possibility for cinema festivals and producers to get public fundings from European Community.

Storie di successo: Fabio Masi introduces his "Il decalogo di Vasco".
On Saturday, December 5th, at 6pm, at Teatro degli Atti in Rimini, there will be a meeting with the audience and the screening of the movie about the greatest Italian rockstar, previously presented at the Mostra del Cinema di Venezia.
There might be something special from Vasco Rossi himself...

"De Smet", by Thomas Baerten and Wim Geudens, is the last official finalist of "Around the world in 80 shorts".
All movies which has been selected by the audience in these last nine months will take part in the final night, on Tuesday, December 1st, at the cinema Settebello in Rimini.

One event organized by Amarcort Film festival in co-operation with photography association t.club, will deal with set photography.
The conference will be held by the photographer Loris Zambelli Tortoi.

Focus Olanda
Thanks to the co-operation with the international short movie festival Sedicicorto, whose artistic director is Gianlcuca Castellini, Amarcort will present: "Focus Olanda", a selection of Dutch short movies, coming from the EYE Film Institute Netherlands.

Amarcort Film Festival 2015 edition will have a special jury consisting of young students as well.
After last year interesting and good experience, we will have a jury composed only by high school students.
They will choose their favourite short movie, among Amarcort section finalists, watching them directly in the theatres during all screening nights.

This great and exciting tour will see its last stopover on Monday, November 16th, at 9pm at the Cineteca in Rimini.
On that night you can enjoy the best second classified short movies of all previous events. This is the playlist.

Amarcort Film Festival 2015: Storie di successo.
A new section in this Amarcort eighth edition will deal with authors who successfully grew from short movies to features.
One of them is Luca Elmi, who won Amarcort Film Festival 2012 edition, with his "Roman citizen" totally shot in the United States.

ABC... Fellini!
There will be four high school students screenings instead of only one this year.
On the morning of December 3rd, 4th and 5th, at the Cineteca, + we will organize a class, held by the expert Nicola Bassano, to introduce Federico Fellini's world and, after that, a selction of our best short movies dealing with social topics.
On the morning of December 5th, at Cinema Settebello, the students will enjoy a double selction of short movies: one coming from Clermot-Ferrand Film Festival (in the presence of Christian Guinot, one of the pioneers of that prestigious festival) and one from Amarcort.

This year we are really proud to host Christian Guinot, one of the pioneers of Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival, the most important short film festival in the world.
Guinot will show us some short movies during two events, one at night and one for school students.

A chance to meet some experts and analyze some subjects.
The cartoonist Andrea Venturi will meet students from comic strips schools and comic strips amateurs.

"Around the world in 80 shorts": the fifth finalist!
The fifth "Around the world in 80 shorts" event took place last Thursday and it was hosted by Cartoon Club. Thus only animation short movies have been screened.
Audience's choice went to "Somewhere down the line" by Julien Regnard.

"Around the world in 80 shorts" summer tour, begun last friday in the courtyard of cinema Tiberio, proclaims its first winner: audience award went to the movie "Hong Konger" by Long Fei and Huang Jia (Hong Kong).
Thus it will be the fourth finalist of this very special section of Amarcort Film Festival 2015 edition.

"Around the world in 80 shorts": the second finalist!
"A clean break", from Australia, is the audience's favourite of "Around the world in 80 shorts" second event. People attending the screenings last night chose Jay Adshead's movie as a finalist for the "around the world" section of Amarcort Film festival 2015 edition.
All the movies have been really appreciated by all passengers on board last night, among them "The chicken", "A hotel room story" and "Love at first height" received many preferences.

"In passing" (from Canada) by Alan Miller has been chosen by the audience as the first finalist of "Around the world in 80 shorts".
people attending our first screening event last night also liked "Busker" (Slovenia), "Alte Schule" (Germania), "Estatuas" (Messico), "Whale valley" (Islanda).

Ready to take off?
"Around the world in 80 shorts", Amarcort Film Festival new contest is taking off on March 30th.
Each month we will screen a selection of the best world short movies and each time the audience will vote one.
All the selected ones will become the finalists of a special section of Amarcort 2015 edition and will be screened again during the final nights of Amarcort Film Festival (late fall/winter).
It will be a real flight over the world through short movies, with flight attendants welcoming you and giving you all safety instructions before the aircraft will take off.
As on every real flight, a snack will be kindly offered to all passengers.
