The Madmen's Diagonal (La Diagonal des Fous) by Doria Tillier
For having offered the glimpse and small portion of a much larger and more believable world; for the performance and choice of actors: magnetic. A handful of scenes which have given back the strength and range of emotions in a feature film. And lastly... For being simply a short film… In its most pure connotation.

Larvae by Alessandro Rota
For the enormous deployment of forces and means, for the meticulous attention to the proscenium; primarily to costumes, secondly to the choice of wonderful locations and amazing scenery reconstructions.

C'era Una Volta a Ribolla by Giovanni Guidelli
For the perilous historical reconstruction, for the use of lights and the excellent choice of faces in the casting. For the attention to the product packaging, constituted of a mixture of languages, which inevitably granted to all both truth and an oneiric and rarefied aftertaste.

68.415 by Antonella Sabatino and Stefano Blasi
The film distinguished itself for the original idea which conjugates information, narrative language and the effectiveness of the transmitted message. A particular thanks goes to this couple of plastic-free directors who, with their eco-dystopic story on plastic pollution, actualize more than ever the maxim from Fellini: “the only true realist is the visionary”.

For the ability of concentrating in the few minutes from the title the importance, often neglected, of the “here and now” in our lives, and for having shown how much the daily life can be special, if we don’t go through it distractedly.

An original point of view to deal with an issue of our times by making a crude denunciation about it. An imaginary world which transforms reality into a biting extreme situation. Almost a dystopia with bitter true traits. A caustic story, both disturbing and sarcastic, which makes us reflect on humankind's present and future.

Larvae by Alessandro Rota
A compelling historical reconstruction, an uncommon scenic effort and accurate writing, in the hands of convincing actors. Alessandro Rota brings into play skilled glimpses of light inside a mystic setting of anthropological tones, where the inexplicable seems to possess reality, even when science opposes with its rational doubts.

Sbagliando s'inventa by Alice Sagrati
An oneiric trip accompained by archive images framed as pieces of an impossible puzzle. Giving life to a narration set to music with the notes of a novel by Gianni Rodari, with the charm of time flowing with a nostalgic rhythm and by games of pure fantasy.

When work is not a right but a blackmail plot on the background of a rampant precarity, to end up being swallowed in nothing is the most fragile person, socially speaking: a sobering reality. HUB on their own skin is a well done short film, characterized by a growing tension that takes advantage of a very good acting role.

The short film Task is able to tell, with a tactful gaze - which is, we emphasize, never cloying - the drama of abandonment, the threat of mourning which risks to break into the relationship without a mother and a daughter. In the short film, the mother who teaches her daughter what is an equation of first degree, is the one ho becomes, in that filmic moment, a memory herself, the most important memory for a daughter, one of a loving mother who touches her hands, a memory of a teaching: through the memory of a mother who loved us, in some way, we can overcome the losses inflicted by destiny and keep together life and death, tie and loss, beginning and end, in the living unity of desire, that desire which takes us always upwards, beyond the sensitive limits of space and time. To tell it through the words of a famous psychoanalyst, Donald Winnicott, in our inconscious being alone means being alone with someone.

Italian production, good profile and personality of the artist, who is also the protagonist in the video. A good acting, with a bit of lip-reading which does not go too much on the lip-sync side. Elegant photography and good use of black and white, and so are the editing solutions. Good sequences which in a moment change their gear by adding more oneiric and photographic imaginaries. In line with present day tensions of several youth segments. Chases the trap cliché and becomes more dramatic, intimistic and poetic.
